Due
to the continuous shortage of qualified officials and although a number of
individuals have successfully completed their Level 3 Referee course this
past year, most of our Level 3 candidates are not “age eligible” to officiate
in the adult divisions while some are ineligible due to still playing in one
division or another. |

Specific Decision Requested: |

Allow
the Club to assign ‘adult’ Level 4 Referees to officiate adult games when
necessary. |

Advantages: |
In order to ensure that
all adult games are officiated by a ‘recognized referee’ (one who has at
least taken the basic entry level course and officiated for a significant
period of time), our Club requests permission to assign ‘adult’ Level 4
officials if no qualified Level 3 person is available. Permission to do so would also eliminate
having to continuously reschedule games in our very short playing season. |
